A ceramic artist from Laugharne is has been invited to exhibit her work in London at a New Designers event which is showcasing the top 100 designers in the UK.
Julie Hutton has been invited to exhibit at the One Year In show as a result of her degree work which was displayed at Carmarthen School of Art’s stand at last year’s New Designers show.
She is currently a graduate resident at Coleg Sir Gâr’s Carmarthen School of Art where she graduated last year with a first class honours degree in ceramics.
One Year In is an exhibition held at Business Design Centre, which highlights the work of the top 100 UK designers in their first year of business.
Julie Hutton said: “This year saw a record number of applications to exhibit so I’m honoured to have been asked to take part as it will provide an important and highly exposed platform to launch my new work.
“I’m so excited as I’ve also received an Arts Council of Wales grant to support this opportunity which is incredible.”
Julie’s work was recently on show in Carmarthen town centre at Carmarthen School of Art’s pop-up exhibition, which showed the work of its resident graduates.
