Primary schools pupils have been learning skills in media and music technology at Coleg Sir Gâr’s creative industries studios.
Following the theme of a medieval music mash-up, pupils have written and recorded their own video using industry-standard technology with a hint of beat-boxing learnt from Welsh beat boxer Mr Phormula who also supported the project.
The event was organised as part of the work being delivered under ERW’s Siarter Iaith project, which aims to offer a different and enriching experience using Welsh culture.
The project is inspired by ancient Welsh history and Welsh band Bragod, who interpret Welsh music and poetry from the sixth to the 19th century using Pythagorean tuning.
Schools taking part included Bryngwyn Comprehensive’s feeder primary schools.
A screening of the project will be arranged in September.
