This animal care course is aimed at those wishing to progress into a career within the animal care industry and is held at the college’s Animal & Equine purpose-built centre in Carmarthen where there is access to a range of small animals.

This pathway provides a route for employment within the animal care industry using a combination of both practical skills and theoretical knowledge.

Practical skills will vary from handling and restraining animals to cleaning their accommodation. Work experience is a key part of this qualification, allowing learners to practise employability skills and experience work in the land-based sector.
