Important Update - As from Monday, 6 September 2021:
College Contract Buses – learners MUST have a bus pass and will be unable to travel without a valid pass.
Public Service Buses – learners MUST pay the bus fare, which may be reclaimed at Campus Office on production of a valid ticket and subject to validation checks. We will contact relevant learners at their college email account with more details.
All learners must wear a face covering when getting onto a bus and has to be worn for the duration of the journey. Disciplinary action will be taken if this is not adhered to.
All Learners - Travelling by Bus or Taxi
Please try and make your own transport arrangements to and from college, travelling with members of your household or extended household.
If feasible, consider walking or cycling. These are the safest and healthiest options for you, especially at this time.
We are in exceptional circumstances and ask everyone to be patient. Measures are implemented to minimise the risk of transmission of the COVID19 virus for all travelling in college buses and taxis. The safety of everyone is paramount at this time.
New and returning students must apply for student transport every year. There is no carry forward.
If you are a full-time further education learner and have already received your username, you can apply for transport at https://apply.colegsirgar.ac.uk/
Learners with medical conditions, disabilities or learning difficulties may be eligible for taxi or bus provision, subject to relevant supporting evidence. These applications are considered on an individual case basis.
Please do not telephone the College or Carmarthenshire County Council but keep looking at the College website www.colegsirgar.ac.uk which will be updated as soon as information is confirmed.
