Students may be able to apply for funding via Student Finance Wales depending on their age, mode of study and household income. Schemes include Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) for 16-18 year olds, Welsh Government Learning Grant (WGLG) for 19+ year olds and schemes for Higher Education (HE) students via grant and loans. Please view their website www.studentfinancewales.co.uk to find out more. Application forms are available on all campuses and HE students can make an online application via Student Finance Wales.
Further Education Students (FE) may also be able to apply for funding via the College's Financial Contingency Fund (FCF) for help with costs such as essential course costs, childcare costs, disclosure barring service fee (DBS) and travel. This fund is also dependent on household income and application forms are available on all campuses. Our Liaison & Support Workers are happy to help with any of the funding options mentioned and can be contacted directly.
