The Level 3 Work Based Veterinary Nursing is designed for applicants already working in the work place at an approved training practice. All practices must be approved by the college and Apprentices must be working with a Registered Veterinary Nurse or Veterinary Surgeon (Clinical Coach) for the duration of the program.
The Apprentice will be employed and receive at least the minimum Apprentice wage. Learners should achieve the Level 3 Apprenticeship Framework within the agreed timescale.
Following successful completion of the Apprenticeship students are eligible to join the register of Veterinary Nurses. Opportunities to progress onto Higher Eduction courses such as HNC/D, Foundation Degree or Degree (BSc).
Progression within employment - RCVS Diploma in Advanced Veterinary Nursing.
Learners following this Apprenticeship will have to achieve a framework of qualifications which will include: -
Coursework, assignments, exams and Practical Clinical exams.
These programmes are part financed by the European Social Fund through the Welsh Government.
All learners are required to pay an administration fee of £45 prior to enrolment.
You will need to provide your own stationery and may also incur costs if the department arranges educational visits.
