A Level 3 Apprenticeship in Hairdressing is a work based learning programme where the learner is earning while learning. The programme is aimed at learners over the age of 16.
At this level, apprentices gain valuable on-the-job experience to become competent within hair or beauty while also studying towards a nationally recognised qualification at NVQ level 3 (equivalent to five 5 GCSEs and two A levels).
Training is focused on more advanced hairdressing techniques and salon practices to become a senior stylist.
This qualification is suitable for those more experienced hairdressers or those who have completed the Level 2 Apprenticeship.
The apprentice will be employed and receive at least the national minimum apprenticeship wage (this could be more at the employer's discretion). The apprentice will attend college on a day release basis and should achieve the level three apprenticeship framework within the agreed timescale.
This level three vocational qualification is designed to further develop your hairdressing skills and techniques which you gained at level two.
