This level two apprenticeship will enable you to demonstrate your skills and knowledge to prove your competence in a real workplace environment.
This course is supported by the National Access and Scaffolding Confederation (NASC) and successful candidates will be able to start the process to obtain a Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme (CISRS) card which is the UK’s industry scheme for scaffold training.
You will need to be employed in the industry to complete the apprenticeship framework.

Prevention of falls in scaffolding
Health, safety and welfare in construction and associated industries
Erect and dismantle roof scaffolds, prefabricated aluminium tower scaffolds, static towers, cantilever scaffolds, basic tower scaffolds, basic independent and putlog scaffolds and basic birdcage scaffolds.
Knowledge of technical information, quantities and communication with others
Utilising provision of fall protection systems/equipment.
You will also gain a level two NVQ Diploma in Accessing Operations and Rigging (Construction) – Scaffolding 600/8244/6.
In the workplace, portfolio for NVQ, practical assessments, exams and online tests.
There are no formal entry requirements, however for candidates without a G grade or above in maths or English at GCSE or equivalent, additional modules in Essential Skills, Application of Number and Communication will need to be undertaken and you will be supported through these throughout.
