This course offers full time training for students with a keen interest in agricultural engineering, who are either intending to join the trade or wish to progress to level 3. Training includes the repair, servicing and maintenance of a wide range of agricultural and land-based machinery.

As part of the programme, learners will also complete numeracy and literacy essential skill qualifications.  Opportunities will also be provided for GCSEs in English and maths, which will be essential to continue onto level three.

This nationally recognised agricultural engineering course will prepare you for employment in the appropriate vocational sector. The programme includes practical and theoretical training in agricultural and land-based machinery and equipment.

Progression and employment

On successful completion of this course, students are able to progress onto a level 3 agriculture engineering qualification or an apprenticeship within agriculture engineering. 

Method of assessment

Coursework, online examinations, written job cards and practical skills testing.

This qualification is available to be assessed through the medium of English only.

Entry requirements

A level one diploma qualification or 3 GCSEs (to include at least one GCSE at grades A* - D) in mathematics, Welsh or English and a successful interview. 

Additional costs

All learners are required to pay an administration fee of £25 prior to enrolment.
