You will be assessed by your tutor and assessor using a range of methods. This will include direct observations in the workplace, a portfolio of evidence and written assignments.
You should be at least 18 years old.

For the diploma you will need to be working, volunteering or on practical placement with children between the ages of four and 16 years as you need to show competence in both knowledge and skills.
