Would you like to learn how to become a chocolatier?

Learn how to become a chocolatier at Coleg Sir Gâr. Developed by a professional Chocolatier & Patisserie chef, this 1 day chocolate course teaches you the basic practical skills on how to work confidently with chocolate.

What chocolate skills will I learn?

During this masterclass, you’ll work individually under close supervision from a trained professional. You’ll prepare chocolate fillings such as ganache, truffles and pralines. You’ll learn how to make handmade chocolate truffles, chocolate bars with delicious inclusions and moulded chocolate pralines. You’ll also explore:

  • Chocolate making equipment
  • Chocolate tempering techniques
  • Preparation of fillings
  • The use of chocolate moulds
  • How to decorate and finish moulded chocolates using edible gold lustre 
  • How to cap, roll and finish truffles 
  • How to professionally package finish products 

Who’s the Chocolatier course for? 

This is a beginners course and is designed for chocolate enthusiasts or professional chefs wanting to expand their skills. Participants typically have a passion for chocolate. This course is not suitable for someone with a nut allergy.

At the end of the day participants are able to take home their creations.

Participants will receive a signed certificate on completion.
