Cegin Sir Gâr is Coleg Sir Gâr’s training facility for aspiring chefs and maître d’ staff. The restaurant, which offers a table d’hote menu, has a long-established reputation for the quality of its food and service where restaurant quality gastronome can be enjoyed at reasonable prices.

For many years, Cegin Sir Gâr has enabled those learning professional cookery and hospitality courses, to serve the public in a real restaurant environment, giving them a valued industry and customer experience.

Many former students have progressed to work in top London restaurants and have worked for the likes of Claridge’s and L’Esgargot. One former student has also worked with Marco Pierre White and on location with Gary Rhodes.

Tutors at the college are all industry experienced and with the support of employers, are well-equipped to prepare students with the practical and theory elements of working in the industry. Throughout the year, Cegin Sir Gâr welcomes some of the county’s top guest chefs to work with students, producing special menus and events for the public.

A small facility within the restaurant can also be hired by external parties for seminars and meetings.
