Volunteering.

Volunteering allows you to connect with others across the college. It gives you the opportunity to practice important skills used in the workplace, such as teamwork, communication, problem solving, project planning, task management, and organisation. It also helps to develop your confidence and social skills as you regularly meet with groups of people with common interests.

Ask your Tutor about the opportunities available.

Volunteering with Be Active

Your role could include coaching and assisting in practical sessions, organising and running events, collecting data and marketing. The Be Active department will support your application to become a Silver Ambassador, a Sport Wales. Volunteering will enable you to gain experience working within the sport sector, and will help you develop new skills and qualities. You do not need to be studying Sport to volunteer with us. You need to have an interest in promoting sport and recreational activity, as well as a passion for encouraging others to be active. There is flexibility to work around your timetable and to commit time to suit yourself. Be Active volunteers are valued members of the college. We appreciate the hard work that you contribute throughout the year.
