Campus capacities for the month of September (Monday 7th to Friday 25th)
No more than 50% of students from any faculty will be on campus at any one time in the
month of September (up to Sept 25th). This will allow a 3-week settling in period across all
campuses. Your Tutor will give you more information on the first day you attend College.
This capacity will be kept under review and may change in October. At the half term break,
capacities for the period leading up to Christmas will be set.
The 50% will not apply to Schools provision, where all pupils will be expected to attend.
Induction of new learners
A central induction Google site has been made available to all enrolled learners. Induction will start from 7 September.
Induction will last for the first week and will be a mix of remote and campus-based access.
Full Time Further Education Enrolment 2020
It will soon be time to enrol at the College. Enrolment 2020 will be completed either on-line or in person at the College. This will depend on your previous study.
Returning students: If you were full time with us in 2019-20, you should be able to complete all of your enrolment activity online and it is unlikely you will have to attend an enrolment session on campus. Read the Principal's message for returning students here >>
New students: Those of you who are new to college and have not studied full time with us before, will be invited to come into College to enrol. This will be managed strictly in line with COVID-19 procedures. At the end of this document the campus and subject timetables are provided for new students. Read the Principal's message for new students here >>
A Level lessons will start on the 7th of September: AS on campus and A2 online, for the first week.
A Staggered Enrolment Process
Enrolment will focus on different subject areas on different days. You will be invited to attend either a morning or an afternoon session and must ensure that you attend the correct enrolment session. You will be allowed to be accompanied by one other person - eg, parent or guardian.
You will need to bring a means of identification such as a passport, birth certificate, national insurance letter, etc (ideally something with a name and ideally a photo on as well). You will also be asked to bring in any recent GCSE or other examination results.
Meeting The Teaching Staff
As a new student you will meet with teaching staff on arrival at campus to discuss options and confirm your programme of study. Depending on your results, you will be allocated to appropriate programmes (at Level E, 1, 2 or 3) or referred for further advice.
Meeting With Support Staff
You will also meet with support staff to confirm:
Proof of identity
Personal details for enrolment
Payment of the administrative fee
GDPR and privacy notices
Transport needs
EMA/ALG application process and
Any other support needs
