Meet the Team.


Lesley Lewis

Operations Manager

Lesley has worked in the local authority where she worked with Cyfle and Dewis Menter European funded Business Development projects managing and delivering support for local businesses.

Lesley was part of the learning and development division, managing the administration team organising the training and development for the authority’s employees together with the Local Health Board, police and social care services. Lesley worked with the Social Care Workforce Development Programme in the organisational development sector with internal and external stakeholders offering a blended learning experience to social care and children’s services.

Lesley, who has worked in the private and public sector, manages the SFI project and delivery team and her valuable experience in the finance sector as a senior business development manager has significantly supported the project.




Helen Williams

Business Engagement Officer

Helen benefits from a background predominantly in business, having worked for a number of years with the Welsh Government initiative now known as Business Wales with both Antur Teifi and Carmarthenshire County Council supporting start up and existing businesses.

Helen also has a wealth of experience in supporting community groups/councils whilst working with the Rural Development Plan for Wales as a Community Regeneration Development Officer looking at gaps in provision in rural Carmarthenshire and supporting the groups through the application for a grant through the Innovative Communities project. Whilst in the role Helen engaged in work based learning and achieved her ILM level 5 in Social Enterprise Support.

Helen is always very enthusiastic to support businesses and individuals and will always go that extra mile to ensure a comprehensive service.



Debra Lewis

Claims and Finance Officer

Debra has vast experience in both the public and private sector having worked with the local authority and Royal Mail.

Debra has been working with Coleg Sir Gâr for the past eight years being involved with European Funded projects including Engage and Skills for Industry. She brings a wealth of financial experience to her role and is a key member of the team, providing financial support as the claims and finance officer.

Debra is also responsible for the delivery of the audit compliant claims to the Welsh European Funding Office.



Helen Griffiths

Claims and Administration Officer

Helen has a wealth of experience from both private and public sector working in construction, the NHS and financial software.

Helen benefits from a varied background in administration, sales and finance. She has worked as a business development assistant, supporting company bids, quality management systems and claiming grants for training, which will prove invaluable in her role as Claims and Administration Officer delivering the Skills for Industry project with the Welsh European Funding Office.



Eileen Morris BA, PGCE

Business Engagement Officer

Eileen benefits from a background in both private and public sectors, having worked in and with a variety of industries including retail, social care and construction. Eileen works closely with industry to support the project, developing a responsive and flexible delivery that meets business demands, particularly within the construction sector.

Achievements include the introduction of On Site Assessment Training (OSAT) to meet the construction sector needs.

Eileen also has a wealth of experience in the education sector, striving to support local companies and displaying initiative and enthusiasm in a competitive and professional manner.



Esther Thomas

Data and Administration Officer

Esther has worked for a large pharmaceutical company where she was a member of the company’s business redevelopment team, developing and implementing new processes and training systems. This has provided her with invaluable experience, particularly in project work.

She also has significant experience in administrative and secretarial roles and has worked with European funded projects at Coleg Sir Gar for the past eight years.
