Entrepreneurial support for fashion student
BA fashion student Molly Grinham has received entrepreneurship support at college to get her business Pabbsy off the ground.
Molly, who studies fashion at Coleg Sir Gâr’s Carmarthen School of Art has always wanted to run her own fashion label and says it’s been her dream as it offers her freedom to create a personal vision.
Pabbsy is a happy, fun and colourful brand which sells statement earrings, tote bags and other accessories and next year the company will be launching its first ever clothing collection.
Molly Grinham said: “It’s opened my eyes to just how much work goes into running a fashion brand and has given me huge admiration for everyone running a business in this current climate.
“The main challenge is getting Pabbsy seen which is why I think it’s really important to have your own strong identity to stand out from everyone else.”
Pabbsy has a slight family feel with Molly’s mother and grandmother right behind it, lending ideas and sharing creative skills.
Molly added: “I received a lot of support from Becky Pask, who heads entrepreneurship at college and helps anyone with an idea for business.
“She is just as enthusiastic about Pabbsy as I am, she has organised great webinars on all areas of running a business and she’s extremely supportive.”
