Football directorship for academy lead
Coleg Sir Gâr’s director of football has recently been appointed the same role at Llanelli Town AFC.
Jonathan Garcia is also director of football and head of youth at Llanelli Town AFC where he oversees the day to day management of the U8s team to senior reserves, working with the senior committee.
He has also been selected onto the West Wales FA council committee.
A licence qualified coach with an FAW level four youth licence qualification, Jonathan is currently also responsible for football development at Coleg Sir Gâr where teams compete in the Association of Colleges category two and three leagues as well developing individual players to national and international level.
As well as managing the college’s new sports centre, he is also assistant manager for Welsh Schools FA U18s squad and is involved in the SAFIB Centenary Shield representing the Schoolboy Associations of the British Isles countries.

“He has demonstrated his vast knowledge in helping our club reach levels that previously would have taken several years.
“I personally work with Jonathan on a daily basis and his professionalism is a credit to both Coleg Sir Gâr and Llanelli Town AFC."
