Hairdressing student named as competition finalist
A hairdressing student at Coleg Sir Gâr has been named as a finalist in the UK-wide Concept Hair Magazine competition.
Harley Dark, 18, has been shortlisted to finalist in the categories of barbering and colouring.
Concept Hair is the only magazine for UK hairdressing and barbering students and apprentices.
Harley Dark said: “It’s nice to know that my hard work has been recognised, I was a runner up in last year’s competition so I feel that this progression shows my skills have advanced.
“It’s not really about the winning for me, it’s about getting my work seen and proving to people that I can do it.”
Emma Williams, Coleg Sir Gâr hairdressing tutor added: “We are immensely proud of Harley and she is a privilege to have as a student.
“This has shown just how far she’s come in her skills set and her motivation and passion are a pillar of strength to her peers in the classroom, this is an amazing opportunity for her and the college and we wish her lots of luck.”
