Coleg Sir Gâr’s Automotive Centre is located at Pibwrlwyd campus in Carmarthen.

Built with extensive facilities, the centre is a fully equipped, purpose built, state-of-the-art training facility.

The centre’s facilities include drive-in diagnostic laboratories, six-bay light vehicle workshops and a fully automated MOT facility. It also includes heavy vehicle workshops, a motor sport workshop with rolling road and a suite of IT classrooms.

The automotive team has years of industry experience, and deliver courses such as MOT Tester and MOT Manager qualifications.

An innovative programme delivered at the centre is its Motorsport Academy for 13 to 15 year-olds. The academy experience introduces young people into the diverse range of fields available within the motorsport industry such as rallying and autograss. Supported by industry visits, the 10-week programme delivers skills from reading and creating rally pace notes to chassis set-up and tyre technology.
