HNC Electrical / Electronic Engineering

Programme Description

The emphasis throughout the course is student centered, task orientated learning with plenty of scope for practical assignment work. Wherever possible projects, which are carried out in the second year, are to be industrially based with full involvement of industrial supervisors. This is a well-established, two year part-time course, that provides a thorough grounding in all aspects of electrical and electronic engineering and combines the hardware and software subject areas demanded by the industry.

Students will have the opportunity to return after achieving the HNC to upgrade to the HND after one year’s further study part-time. After that, they can upgrade to a BSc (Hons) degree in a further two years of part-time study.
