Foundation Apprenticeship - Hairdressing Level 2

Programme Description

A Foundation Apprenticeship in Hairdressing is a work based learning programme where the learner is ‘earning while learning’. The programme is aimed at learners over the age of 16.

The Apprentice will be employed and receive at least the national minimum Apprenticeship wage (this could be more at the employer's discretion). The Apprentice will attend college on a day release basis and should achieve the Level 2 Apprenticeship Framework within the agreed timescale.

This Level 2 vocational qualification is an exciting taster, which will give you an insight to the world of the hair industry.  This course provides you with the practical opportunities allowing you to complete your assignments and put your skills into practice in a real salon environment working on clients. This will not only develop your professionalism for the industry but provides you with the minimum qualification needed to qualify and register as a Hairdresser, so you can become a Junior Stylist. Throughout this course, you will be assessed through practical skills tests and written assignments which will run alongside the modules you are studying. As part of the course, you are required to undertake work experience.
