Carers

As a Wellbeing Team we offer support to all our learners and understand that some individuals have caring responsibilities that may impact on their learning.

The college is proud to have been awarded the Investors in Carers Bronze Award and are currently working towards achieving the Silver Award

We hope that this demonstrates to our current and potential learners that we are committed to provide help, support and advice to all our learners who have carer responsibilities. We appreciate that there may be times when your carer responsibilities impacts on your learning but we encourage you to speak to a member of the Wellbeing Team so that we can make reasonable adjustments to help alleviate further stress.

Carers can confidently approach the Wellbeing Team for signposting to relevant external organisations who can offer further support to you, or to relevant resources. If you wish, we can also support you with registering as a carer with your GP or being referred to our college counsellor. You may just want to chat about things - we are here to support you with that too.

As a college we are committed to raising awareness of carers and young carers and celebrate annual events such as Carers Awareness Week and Young Carers Action Day.
